Kiddos’ Clubhouse Foundation 1st Annual Golf Classic
The inaugural Kiddos’ Clubhouse Foundation Golf Classic took place September 16, 2008 at Woodmont Golf and Country Club in Canton. We had great golf weather for the day with the cloud cover and cooler temperatures. Golfers checked in and had some time on the range and a boxed lunch provided before they headed off to the 1:00 p.m. shotgun start with a scramble format. The backdrop of the rolling terrain of Canton and with the course being in such great shape, it ended up being a wonderful day. During the round there was a closest to the pin contest on the tough par 3, #11 as well as a longest drive competition on #9. This year’s winners, Bill Little and David Brening took home gift certificates from Luciano’s Restaurant and The Dolche Group Restaurants.
This year, the team sponsored by Decksouth took the prize for low gross score in the best ball scramble format. The team of Eric Walker, Patrick Fulletron, Scott Helenbrook and Andrew Bouton outpaced the rest of the field quite handily this year! During a steak and chicken dinner a raffle and silent auction took place with the biggest silent auction going for an overnight stay, breakfast and 4 rounds of golf at Reynolds Plantation.
